Of course votes are still being counted and final results will not firm up for a couple of weeks yet.

It was said that it was Romney's election to loose.  Basically, the last several major Republican losses, Bob Dole, John McCain, and Mitt Romney, were because conservatives were looking for "The Gipper" but the party establishment keeps giving up "The Flipper".

As everybody on the planet knows now, Barack Obama was re-elected President of the United States. Democrats retained control of the US Senate, while Republicans retained control of the US House of Representatives. In other words, the national elections produced no change. But, in reality, we haven't had any significant change in a national election in many years.

The last significant national election that produced dramatic change (at least temporarily) was the congressional elections of 1994, when Republicans swept both houses of Congress and denied President Bill Clinton's Democrats control of the legislature. It was dubbed the "Conservative Revolution." The other election that could be regarded as a national coup against the established political order was the election of Ronald Reagan in 1980.

However, within a year of the 1994 congressional elections, Newt Gingrich and Trent Lott had successfully fought off attempts of rank and file GOP congressmen to truly reduce the size and scope of the federal government, and by 1995, it was business as usual once again. And after Mr. Reagan was shot just a little over a year after taking office, much of the conservative agenda that he had campaigned on seemed to quickly fade away.

But ever since Reagan, republicans have routinely rejected legitimate freedomists and have nominated pseudo-conservatives. The result has always led to a resounding defeat for republicans at the polls. Since the defeat of George H.W. Bush after one term in 1992, due to his blatant big-government and globalist policies, Democrats have dominated the White House. The lone exception was the election of G.W. Bush in 2000 and 2004. But, Bush, Jr., ran as a Reagan-conservative. He wasn't, of course, but he was perceived as one. But it was Bush, the Big-Spending-Warmonger, that doomed the GOP's future failures. Bush's out-of-control deficit spending, coupled with his preemptive wars of aggression, and the implementation of a burgeoning police state/surveillance society made the name "Republican" something dirty to the American electorate. As a result, the GOP is in complete disarray and without principled leadership.

Mitt Romney was just the latest attempt by the GOP establishment to force a big-government "moderate" upon party faithful. The true freedomist Ron Paul was treated in much the same way that Pat Buchanan was treated back in 1996. By hook or by crook, the GOP was not going to let a principled freedomist win the Presidential nomination. They wanted a controlled big-government toadie. They got what they wanted, and they lost! In fact, every time the GOP nominates a "moderate" as their Presidential nominee, he loses. Every time! One could almost get the feeling that the party establishment would rather lose with a moderate than win with a conservative. After all, why would the American people want a Wall Street moderate who will implement 85% of the Democrat agenda when they can elect a blue-collar Democrat and have the real deal? At least the Democrats are perceived as being compassionate. The GOP's refusal to listen to their grassroots, to advance populist causes, and to disconnect themselves from Wall Street continues to cost them elections. In short, the Republican Party in Washington, D.C., is completely out of touch with average Americans.

The same scenario played out here in the State of Montana. The GOP candidates for Governor and US Senator (both pseudo-conservatives) lost to Democrats. (At the time of this writing, the race for governor is very close with only 7000 votes separating them; but the Democrat has held the lead all yesterday and today, and it is doubtful that the Republican can overtake him.) This is actually a good thing for the Montana Republican Party, as it removes from leadership the two most powerful neocons. These are men who had steered and manipulated the State party away from freedomist principles in much the same way that both Bush I and Bush II had done nationally. Now, true freedomists within the State GOP have an opportunity to rise to positions of leadership and begin steering the party back to its conservative roots.

But as I predicted earlier, the Presidential election did not provide long coattails. In DC, Republicans ended where they started, with control of the House of Representatives. Neither did Democrats increase their advantage on Capitol Hill at all. So, let's not forget that the GOP controls the US House of Representatives. This means that the GOP controls the purse strings for ALL federal spending. If the Republican Party is serious about reducing spending, they have the power to do it. All monies appropriated for federal expenditures must be authorized by the House of Representatives. So, Republicans should quit crying in their milk and start demanding that House Speaker John Boehner and the rest of the House Republican leadership start growing some man-stuff and stop funding all of these big-government, unconstitutional expenditures-including all of these foreign wars that are sapping both our freedom and our prosperity.

Here in Montana, Republicans maintained a significant majority in the State House of Representatives (my son, Tim, ran as a Republican in a predominantly Democrat district, and appears to have lost a close race) and picked up the attorney general's office. Furthermore, there were five ballot initiatives, all of which had to be regarded as Republican issues. All five passed overwhelmingly.

Republican propagandists can complain all day long about principled freedomists who choose to vote for a third party or not vote at all for a given race. But they shouldn't blame the voters; they should cast blame where it rightly belongs: at the feet of the GOP leadership. I no more owe allegiance to a political party than I would owe allegiance to a retail store. If the business does not convince me by its product, service, and price to shop there, I am under no obligation to do so. I will go down the street. It's laughable to think that I owe my business to one store. What a joke!

It is equally laughable to suggest that I owe my vote to one political party. Each candidate has an obligation to convince me that he or she is worthy of my vote. When he or she does, my vote is given them. But when a candidate doesn't earn my vote, they are not getting it--regardless of party label. That's the way most Americans vote. Oh sure, you have the party loyalists who would vote for their party's candidate if a baboon was nominated. Thankfully, the numbers of these types of voters are quickly shrinking.

And in truth even the party loyalists who condemn people who won't vote for the "lesser of two evils" (meaning someone from their party) are blatant hypocrites, because they won't do it either. The only difference is whether the "lesser of two evils" is defined by either principle or party. Let me explain.

Here in Montana there was a two man race for Clerk of the Supreme Court. One was a Democrat; the other was a Libertarian. There was no Republican in the race. The Democrat won by 14 percentage points. Pray tell, why didn't all the Republicans vote for the "lesser of two evils" and give the Libertarian the victory? Why? Because party loyalists refuse to vote for anyone who is not a Republican, meaning the "lesser of two evils." In other words, they behave in exactly the same way that many freedomists behave: they refuse to vote for the "lesser of two evils." The only difference is the definition of "evil." To freedomists, "evil" is the abandonment of constitutional, freedom principles; to party loyalists, "evil" is the abandonment of the Republican Party.

Here is the bottom line: Republicans don't win elections when they nominate pseudo-conservatives. They crash and burn. And they have been crashing and burning for decades now. If Romney had any coattails, it was to taint true Republican conservative candidates with his brand of neoconism. When will they ever wake up and realize that they are perceived as being an out-of-touch, elitist, money-driven party that doesn't give a darn about average people? Furthermore, when will they stop treating principled freedomists like toilet paper?

All over America, in State after State, the GOP leadership bullied, harangued, and stomped on Ron Paul and his supporters. The way Ron and his followers were treated in many State GOP conventions and in the national GOP convention was nothing short of criminal. Had Mitt Romney behaved as a gentleman and not like a vengeful tyrant, had the GOP leadership treated Ron and his supporters with the respect and dignity that they had earned, this election might have turned out differently.

Frankly, Mitt Romney deserved to lose, not only due to his big-government, liberal track record, which is out of step with rank and file freedomists, but also due to the shameful treatment of Ron Paul and his supporters, which he either knowingly tolerated or may have even orchestrated.

Furthermore, for the Republican Party to ask principled conservatives to support candidates who routinely trample constitutional government, who routinely support bigger and bigger government, who routinely aid and abet a growing police state, who routinely finance more and more unconstitutional wars of aggression, who routinely vote to bankrupt America with deficit spending, who routinely provide bailouts for their banker-buddies, and who routinely treat honest, hardworking freedomists like doormats, is to ask for more and more disaster at the polls.

So, the net result of the 2012 elections was NO CHANGE. And the reason there was no change in the elections is because there was no change in the Republican Party. What was the definition of insanity again?

For many of us, the unthinkable has happened.

America has decisively turned the corner away from the constitutional principles of limited government and self-government with the re-election of Barack Obama.

There may be no way home for us.

For those of us who fundamentally reject Obama’s policies, things are going to get very rough for the next four years. We have allowed our fellow Americans to pronounce judgment on the nation.

That’s what Obama represents to me – God’s judgment on a people who have turned away from Him and His ways and from everything for which our founders sacrificed their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor.

The nation is divided like never before – intentionally so. That has been Obama’s game plan from the beginning – to build a constituency of special-interest groups that truly believe their salvation is found in bigger government, more programs, irresponsible spending and unconstitutional policies.

This election could very well represent the beginning of the end of the American Dream, American exceptionalism, the American way.

But it’s no time to give up – to throw up our hands in disgust and walk away from politics. Neither is it time to surrender to the radical social agenda Obama has championed to win his victory.

It’s time to change tactics.

It’s time to double-down and fight harder.

It’s time to raise our collective voices of outrage.

It’s time to form new alliances.

It’s time to form new communities of people who understand just how much Americans have been disenfranchised from our God-given rights and responsibilities.

But, at the end of the day, people generally get the kind of government they deserve.

When you turn away from the ways of God Almighty, this is what you should expect, if you are a student of the Bible and history.

I’m not going to lie to you.

I think things are going to get very tough in America over the next four years.

I expect more division, more stratification, maybe even the disintegration of the constitutional republic that was the envy of the world for so long.

It’s time to hunker down.

It’s time to prepare for the worst – economically, militarily, socially, culturally.

The revolutionaries have won a major political victory.

The America haters are running the country for another four years.

That is not a pretty prospect.

But it’s not time to retreat. It’s time for those of us who love what America has been for most of its history to gather our wits and begin the long march back.

Most of all, it’s time for collective repentance.

Only a miracle can save us – and we need to humble ourselves before God and pray hard for one.

Can we find our way home? Is the political system even viable for us anymore? Has our heritage of representative government been permanently robbed from us? Are our cultural institutions – from the press to the schools and universities to the major foundations and even our churches – let us down so badly that there is no hope of restoring the America we once knew and loved?

I don’t know the answers to these questions.

But we must not retreat. We must not hide. We must not be intimidated. We must not stop fighting for truth, justice and the American way.

Maybe we deserve this punishment for taking our lifestyles for granted. Maybe we deserve this judgment for our own individual and collective sins. Maybe there’s still time to turn things around because we serve a Creator of second and third chances.

One thing is for certain: Our national condition is going to get much worse before it gets better.

Warns president’s reelection means Jewish state must ‘take care of its own’

TEL AVIV — The state of Israel will not capitulate before President Obama, whose “naive” leadership has hurt the U.S., stated Danny Danon, deputy speaker of Israel’s Knesset.

Danon, a Knesset member from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s ruling Likud party, was reacting to the reelection of Obama.

Danon told KleinOnline: “Obama’s victory demonstrates that the state of Israel must take care of its own interests. We cannot rely on anyone but ourselves. Obama has hurt the United States by his naïve leadership in foreign policy, which prefers the Arab world over the Western world, along with Israel. The state of Israel will not capitulate before Obama. ”

Earlier this week, KleinOnline quoted a senior Palestinian Authority negotiator claiming that if Obama secures another four years in office, he will use his second term to target Netanyahu as the main party to blame for the collapse of Mideast peace talks.

The negotiator further claimed that Obama quietly pledged to the Palestinians a campaign at the United Nations to renew U.N. Security Council Resolution 242, which calls for a Palestinian state to be established in the West Bank, Gaza Strip and eastern Jerusalem.

The PA negotiator said the White House had asked the Palestinians to slow their drive for the unilateral declaration of a state at the U.N. General Assembly.

The negotiator further said Obama had promised the PA that the establishment of a Palestinian state will be one of the main priorities for a second term.

“We were told that the negotiations for a Palestinian state will be a main goal for Obama,” said the negotiator. “Netanyahu will be declared the main person responsible for the collapse of the peace process.”

International observers: States out of line

The group hosting international election observers said Thursday that state officials in Iowa and Texas are needlessly blocking access to the decades-old process the United States already has agreed to, an official said Thursday.

Thomas Rymer, a spokesman for the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, said the group will abide by election laws after officials in those states warned about possible criminal prosecution if the observers came within hundreds of feet of polling places.

“We will of course comply,” Rymer told POLITICO. “At the same time, the lack of access to polling stations for international observers in some states is not in line with the United States’s international commitments, and we have noted this in past final reports issued by observation missions.”On Nov. 6, the OSCE — a 56-country security and conflict resolution organization that includes the United States — will have 44 observers in different states meeting with “stakeholders,” including candidates, local media and other on-the-ground actors, as well as a team of 13 election analysts in Washington , who will focus on specific issues such as demographic turnout nationally.

The 2012 race is the sixth U.S. election the OSCE has observed since 2002, and since then, access to voting precincts across the country has been largely dependent on the reaction of state and local officials.“In Texas, for example, the attorney general is the chief law enforcement authority, so if the state law as written and as the AG is going to enforce it says the election observers can’t go in, we will report that,” Rymer said.

On Tuesday, Iowa followed Texas’s move and warned of arrests if observers violate state election law by coming within 300 feet of polling places. (In Texas, it’s 100 feet.)

“My office met with two delegation representatives last week to discuss Iowa’s election process, and it was explained to them that they are not permitted at the polls,” Iowa Secretary of State Matt Schultz said in a statement. “Iowa law is very specific about who is permitted at polling places, and there is no exception for members of this group.”

This is not a new problem for OSCE observers, Rymer said.

According to its report after the 2008 general election, OSCE election observers were turned away from polling stations in Alabama, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Ohio and Texas. Their poll watchers also had difficulties in counties in Colorado, Louisiana, Pennsylvania and Virgina, the report said.

“It’s a pretty simple answer: The U.S., as a participating state and founding member of the OSCE, has made certain commitments to allow international observers,” he said. “That said, our observers aren’t there to interfere.”

State judges are up for retention votes

Four members of the Oklahoma Supreme Court who voted to kill a pro-life initiative petition before it was even submitted will face retention votes on Nov. 6.

Four justices – Norma Gurich, Yvonne Kauger, James Edmondson and Douglas Combs – were part of a 9-0 vote to reject the Personhood initiative petition before it was submitted with signatures this year.

CHRISTIANS ARRESTED FOR PREACHING IN NEW ORLEANS AFTER SUNSET: POLICE VOW TO TARGET CHURCHES NEXT [Excerpts]

A pastor and five members of his ministry team were arrested [September 14] in New Orleans, Louisiana for preaching on Bourbon Street after sunset.

Bourbon Street is located in the French Quarter, and is most known for its preponderance of bars and strip clubs. It is the center of night life in the city and also a tourist attraction during events like Mardis Gras and the Southern Decadence Festival, which are known for featuring lewd acts in the streets. Bohn called the area his "mission field" as he has been preaching in the city since 1996. He said that he engages in evangelistic activity in New Orleans at least three times a week. "Jesus saw the multitudes and was moved with compassion for them.... [Similarly], he's given us a love for the city and the people here," [Pastor Troy] Bohn stated. "Would I be willing to go through somebody tossing beer in my face or cursing me out to reach somebody? Yes."

He outlined that last night was typical of most nights as the group began sharing
Christ with the crowds. "We had our cross set up, and one young man that works with us [named Logan] was sharing the Gospel," he explained to Christian News Network. "Some of the girls were talking to others."

Bohn said that as the preaching went forth, a sergeant with the New Orleans Police Department approached, and so Bohn asked him what was the matter.

"[He said,] there's an ordinance against aggressive solicitation and you are under arrest," he recounted. "They began to handcuff Logan and they said, 'We're going to cuff you guys so you can't take off.'"

Bohn said that as the incident unfolded, he heard the sergeant give the order, "Be sure to find out what church they are with because we are going to start going after these churches."

"It kind of chilled me," he stated. "Are we the threat preaching Jesus? No, I kind of like to think that we are holding back the darkness." Bohn explained that one of the women that was arrested, named Kelsey, was saved during their outreach at Voodoo Fest last October, and now goes out with the group to share Christ with others.

"A young lady had come by [one night] who was working at one of the strip clubs,"
he recounted. "Something spoke to her that said, 'Get out of there,' and then she
saw the cross and gave her heart to Jesus that night.... She's just a totally changed person.""There's a lot of Kelseys out there that are just looking for somebody in a dark place," Bohn added. "So many of the girls are hooked on drugs, abusive situations, and backyard prostitution."

After the ministry team was placed under arrest, they were all marched down to the precinct house where they were held for one hour. Bohn and two others were charged with violating the ordinance; the others, including both women, were not processed.

EVANGELICALS REJECTING GOD'S WORD

THE KARL PRINCIPLE: EVANGELICALS REJECTING GOD'S WORD [Excerpts]

Recently, I was inadvertently directed to a year-old post [and] I thought I would
offer a few comments. It represents one of those remorseful, head-wagging invectives
against what is perceived as idiocy within evangelical circles. In a nutshell, the
authoress cites from an article last year from the New York Times written by pseudo-evangelical,
Karl Giberson, and [another author], in which they complain bitterly about what
stupid liars 6-day creationists like Ken Ham and Al Mohler Jr. really are and what
a terrible disservice they are to both Jesus and the little lambs of His church.

Karl goes on to mournfully opine how evangelicals like Ham and Mohler have turned
their backs on society, creating a parallel sub-culture that allegedly presents
alternative views of reality with their teaching as well as rejects "science." The
word "science" here is new-speak for the Darwinian evolutionary worldview, btw.
In other words, young earth creationists don't do "science." It's voodoo or something.

What is missed in this blog report is how Karl's materialistic, a-miraculous, naturalistic
Biologos vision of "evangelicalism" is incompatible with biblical Christian theology,
the very concerns Ham and Mohler express from their parallel sub-culture. In fact,
nothing is even stated about Karl and his friends being funded by a foundation set
up by Charles Templeton who became a notorious apostate before his death.

Everything I've read from Karl is that he doesn't really care about the incompatibility
between a Darwinian worldview and biblical Christianity anyway, because he believes
evangelicals take the Bible too seriously. In his mind, we need to abandon the doctrines
of infallibility and inerrancy because they are bogus to begin with.

Four things here: First, [Young Earth Creation (YEC)] is a matter of biblical authority.
The text of Genesis says God created in 6 ordinary days, as does the rest of the
Bible whenever it touches on creation, including our own Lord and Savior, Jesus
Christ. If you claim to take the Bible seriously as a divinely inspired, infallible
document, you cannot possibly get around this fact. You will only be denying the
meaning of language and the principles of grammar in order to do so. Moreover,
insurmountable exegetical and theological problems are created as well. This is
regrettably the position of many old earth proponents like Hugh Ross and his Reasons
to Believe crew.

Secondly, the writer doesn't tell the readers that old earth proponents like Hugh
Ross are also at odds with even Karl Giberson and the Biologos people. That is because,
as muddled as Hugh's exegesis of the Genesis text may be, he at least attempts to
affirm supernatural creation, albeit in spurts during progressive ages over millions
of years. The Biologos guys reject such a view because of its supernatural implications....
Ultimately, the "age of the earth" really has nothing to do with the disagreement
Giberson and Biologos have with these rogue evangelicals who teach young earth creationism.
It is God's creating just like it says in the Bible that bothers them.

Third. Why is it that Christians have to question everything taught to them by Ken
Ham and Al Mohler when it comes to creation and the age of the earth? Does this
charge equally apply to old earth proponents?

Fourth. I think the idea of hapless, sheltered home schooled fundamentalist kids
losing their faith and going apostate after they bump up against genuine science
is highly exaggerated. How do we explain the opposite phenomenon? That being, public
schooled and strictly secular educated kids who are saturated heavily in old earth,
Darwinian thinking embracing young earth, biblical creationism? Is it because they
caught a bad case of the "stupids?"

I believe fundamentalist defection has more to do with a spiritual heart condition
rather than home schooled kids being unable to defend YEC in college. It wasn't
a matter of bad "science" being challenged by unanswerable evidence. It was a matter
of an unconverted heart.

Startling Starting Over?

Rumor has it that the politicians and the money powers that be, nationally and globally, have a plan that would eliminate all debt and intend to put it in place and restart up again under a totally changed economic system. Things are so chaotic within the fiscal world that such is the only solution.

Absolutely ludicrous--unthinkable--you say? Well, I thought so, too, until the rumor began taking on more and more legitimacy just this past week.

Rush Limbaugh made a special point of the fact that it came to his attention that the planners of the Obama administration were rumored to be considering such an option immediately, or not long after beginning a second term. All debt would be written off with a stroke of the presidential pen and a new monetary regime, excluding the old dollar, would be put into place.

He didn’t give details, but who could possibly give details on what such a change would take–and would mean? Such rearrangement would have incalculable ramifications and consequences, it seems to me.

So, I pushed that to the back of the cogitations of my gray matter. Then, I began seeing stories appearing talking about such possibilities as wiping out debt and replacing the system with something…exactly what, who knows?

One such article, in particular, I’ve excerpted here.

So there is a magic wand after all. A revolutionary paper by the International Monetary Fund claims that one could eliminate the net public debt of the US at a stroke, and by implication do the same for Britain, Germany, Italy, or Japan. The IMF reports say the conjuring trick is to replace our system of private bank-created money.

One could slash private debt by 100pc of GDP, boost growth, stabilize prices, and dethrone bankers all at the same time. It could be done cleanly and painlessly, by legislative command, far more quickly than anybody imagined.

The conjuring trick is to replace our system of private bank-created money--roughly 97pc of the money supply--with state-created money. We return to the historical norm, before Charles II placed control of the money supply in private hands with the English Free Coinage Act of 1666.

Specifically, it means an assault on "fractional reserve banking." If lenders are forced to put up 100pc reserve backing for deposits, they lose the exorbitant privilege of creating money out of thin air.

The nation regains sovereign control over the money supply. There are no more banks runs, and fewer boom-bust credit cycles. Accounting legerdemain will do the rest. That at least is the argument. All one has to do to imagine the upheaval such a thing as writing off all debt and beginning again would bring is to think of one word –China. Imagine that the U.S. says to China, “We are writing off all we owe you. Hope you will understand.”

Now, I’m no economist, and I realize all of the above is so shallow in its pondering as to probably make yours truly appear a simpleton to those with acumen within and great knowledge of global economics. But, I do know that the Chinese leadership would not take kindly to our saying: “We’ve decided to just not pay you back. Now, won’t you please join us in this new monetary experiment?”

And that brings me to the point that such an undertaking as writing off debt and beginning again could never be as simple as a stroke of the pen. We have contemplated often that there is no way out of the economic morass in which this nation and the world are now imprisoned. We have considered often that either something must be done or the U.S. and the world face catastrophic implosion.

Love of money is the root of all kinds of evil, Paul tells us through divine inspiration (1 Timothy 6:10). So, it is fitting that this world of rebels has made its own bed and now must climb into it.

That rebellious world will still be the same in its comportment following this presidential election. No matter who wins, America and virtually all other nations face the prospect of stark change or total implosion. And that is just considering the economic circumstance. Throw into the mix the Middle East rumors of war and the myriad potentially devastating problems on the horizon, and to paraphrase the late Sen. Everett Dirksen regarding billions of dollars in spending the government was already doing, pretty soon you’re talking some real problems.

Whoever is the president after the next inauguration, their task is not to be envied. However, I’m convinced that Christians can continue to look forward to the brightest of all futures, because God’s most devastating judgment is reserved for the time when Jesus intervenes and brings His Bride, the church–all born-again believers—into His presence and takes them to the Father’s house (John 14:1-3).

We are in the end times the Lord described as like the days of Noah and the days of Lot. The same day those men and their families were removed from their judgment-bound environments, judgment fell. That’s why the total implosion of the economy continues to loom rather than occur.

When the Lord calls as recorded in 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, the crash so feared will cascade upon this doomed world. “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”

Now, that will truly be a startling starting over!
