I am writing because your company has sponsored the NBC program LOVE BITES.
NBC describes the show as a romantic comedy; however, there is nothing either romantic or funny about this show. The storylines on LOVE BITES are not about love, but about illicit sex, and contain explicit themes, verbiage, and images that glorify the perverse.
The show is filled with references to fetishes and kinky sex, masturbation and pornography, meaningless and adulterous sex. And as these immoral and sexually deviant behaviors permeate the cultural waters in which we all swim, our children and families are the ones who especially pay the price.
As an advertiser, you know full well the persuasive power of images and verbiage in influencing behavior. And so I ask that you recognize the degrading impact of this show and withdraw your corporate sponsorship.
