Nine senior commanding generals have been fired by the Obama administration this year, leading to speculation by active and retired members of the military that a purge of its commanders is underway.

The similarities of distrust and fear between the Soviet “Man of Iron” and the latest POTUS should not go unnoticed. Any student of the last century is familiar with the Stalinist mayhem. Russian history is plagued with atrocities, but the reign of Soviet commissars’ is especially brutal. Uncle Joe’s victims of Soviet Terror, is estimated at 20 million killed during the 1930s by V. Chistyakovoy at the height of the purges with 3.7-7.7% of Red Army officers removed. Are we witnessing the beginning of an American version of a parallel motivation just at lower levels at this point?
