Abbas Denies Jewish Temple and Christian Theology

Abbas Denies Jewish Temple and Christian Theology
Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas frequently refers to the “alleged” Jewish Temple, but if it was not Jewish, there is no basis for Christian belief, as written in the New Testament in Matthew (21:12), that Jewish “moneychangers" chased Jesus from the Holy Temple. However, Christians so far have not reacted to the implicit denial of their belief.

[Remember this is the same Mahmoud Abbas (a.k.a. Abu Mazen) provided financing to the PLO's Black September terrorist group, in order to carry out the notorious terrorist attack at the
1972 Munich Olympic Games.  This attacked resulted in the deaths of 11 Israeli athletes, coaches, and a West German police officer.]

Everyone Is Ignoring A Sign Of US Economic Decline We Haven't Seen In 60 Years
I would say that one of the things that people have generally ignored is that the U.S. capital stock is in decline. This is the first time post-war we've ever seen it. We don't know what the repercussions are because we have nothing in history to look back on and say, "Hey, last time it did this, this is what followed on it."

The storm surge ahead of Hurricane Isaac made the Mississippi River run backwards for 24 hours. US Geological Survey (USGS) instruments at Belle Chasse in Louisiana recorded the flow of the river, finding it running in reverse on Tuesday. The flow reached nearly 5,200 cubic metres per second (182,000 cubic feet per second) upriver, with a height of nearly 3m (10ft) above average.

Romney Won't Move US Embassy To Jerusalem

Fri, 08/03/2012 -  Douglas Bloomfield
The Emergency Committee for Israel is running television ads that want us to believe that if Mitt Romney is elected president he will move the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. That is the impression they want to convey based on his having referred to Jerusalem as Israel's capital during his quick visit there last week

The people behind ECI include many of the folks who wanted us to believe the same thing about George W. Bush 12 years ago when, at a similar point in his campaign, he promised to move the embassy on his first day in office. He later modified that to say he'd “begin the process” of moving the embassy on his first day.

He never did. Over the next eight years he signed 16 consecutive waivers telling Congress he would not be moving the embassy despite a law calling for him to do so. And there was nary a peep from the folks behind the Emergency Committee, the Republican Jewish Coalition or other conservative Jewish groups.

Why didn't Bush ever keep his campaign promise? Here's the explanation from a White House official on the occasion on one of the semi-annual waivers Bush declared were in the "national security interest."

"Moving our embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem now would complicate our ability to help Israelis and Palestinians advance toward peace and the president's two-state vision."

That is right, and it is why this ECI ad is all a ruse to fool the Jews, the evangelicals and the Israelis.

Like it or not, the embassy will not be moved until Israel reaches a peace agreement with the Palestinians, something that does not appear to be on Romney's agenda.

Every Israeli rightfully considers Jerusalem their nation's capital — so do I -- and the fact that no government has an embassy there doesn't change that. As much as they'd like to see our embassy in Jerusalem, no Israeli leader has ever made the move an imperative in relations with the United States.

ECI’s latest TV ad is titled: "Next year, President Romney in Jerusalem, Israel's capital."

That is just empty rhetoric, and they know it. It's just a part of the on-going GOP campaign to make Israel a partisan wedge issue. Presumably it makes their wealthy benefactors feel good, but they know and the millionaires know, a President Romney wouldn't do it any more than President W did it and President Obama hasn't – and won't -- until the two sides that see the city as their capital agree on it.

Till then ECI is just burning their contributors' money and blowing the smoke in our faces.

Pope explains how Mary's queenship points to Jesus

[In case anyone was still unsure as to whether or not Roman Catholicism encouraged prayer to "Mary, Queen of Heaven" and encouraged Marion worship, well just let the Pope speak for himself...]

Pope Benedict XVI recommended that Christians look to the queenship of Mary, who is "queen in the service of God to humanity," as a sure guide towards her son.

"Dear friends, devotion to Our Lady is an important part of spiritual life. In our prayer we should not fail to turn to her, confident that Mary will intercede for us with her Son," the Pope said to pilgrims during his Aug. 22 general audience at Castel Gandolfo. "Looking upon her, let us imitate her faith, her complete openness to the loving plan of God, her generous welcoming of Jesus. We learn to live from Mary."

The Pope recalled how the establishment of a particular day to celebrate the queenship of Mary is actually a "recent establishment," even though it has "an ancient origin and devotion." When Pope Pius XII created the feast in 1954, he originally placed it on May 31, at the end of the month dedicated to Mary.

"On that occasion he said that Mary is Queen more than any other creature for the elevation of her soul and for the excellence of gifts received. She never ceases to bestow all the treasures of her love and of her care on humanity," Pope Benedict said.

The fact that Mary is "uniquely bound to her Son" both on earth and in Heaven lies at the root of today's feast, said the Pope, since she now participates in "God's responsibility for the world and the love of God for the world."

This love is expressed, suggested the Pope, in the fact that Mary is continually "watching over us, her children, the children who come to her in prayer, to thank her or to ask for her maternal protection and heavenly help, perhaps after having lost their way, burdened with grief or anguish amid the sad and troubled vicissitudes of life."

It is the queenship of Mary that we should turn to throughout life, he said, "so that from her Son we may receive every grace and mercy necessary for our journey along the roads of the world."

"To him who rules the world and holds the destinies of the universe we turn with confidence, through the Virgin Mary."

Mini Documentary Reveals Full Extent of ‘Stellar Wind’ Domestic Spy Program

Mini Documentary Reveals Full Extent of ‘Stellar Wind’ Domestic Spy Program
Adan Salazar

Infowars.com
August 28, 2012

A new mini documentary by Academy Award-nominated documentary filmmaker and journalist Laura Poitras blows the lid off the US government’s secretive domestic spy program – a system currently storing all electronic communications and analyzing it in real time, building dossiers on virtually every American.

Poitras, who says she is on the government’s “watch-list” after a documentary she made criticized the US occupation of Iraq, has personally been detained and questioned about 40 times at different airports.

The Program documentary reveals the Stellar Wind program’s highly classified nature, undoubtedly due to its blatant violation of individual privacy rights.

In Poitras’ film, William Binney details his work in developing a program meant to intercept and monitor Soviet communications. Binney has direct insider knowledge, having worked for the NSA for a staggering 32 years as former technical director.

Binney says the domestic spy program – code-named Stellar Wind, or simply “The Program” as known to insiders – gathers data from individuals, storing it in massive databases and allowing customized profiles for each person to be queried à la search engine-style. He says Stellar Wind’s sole purpose is to monitor what everyone is doing.

Unwittingly, Binney says he built the back-end for a program that has since been redirected towards the American people, tracking and logging every citizen’s phone calls, texts, emails, Google searches, and even social network history. In a short video interview, Binney briefly summarized the NSA’s spy program:

“Domestically, they’re pulling together all the data about virtually every U.S. citizen in the country and assembling that information, building communities that you have relationships with, and knowledge about you; what your activities are; what you’re doing. So the government is accumulating that kind of information about every individual person and it’s a very dangerous process.”

The central hub for all recorded activities is said to be a data storage facility in Bluffdale, Utah with, reportedly, the capacity to store 100 years worth of data.

In addition, Binney says his position as chair of the Technical Advisory Panel, the NSA’s foreign relations council, allowed him to oversee the transfer of eavesdropping technology into the hands of Israeli intelligence, who he suspects then passed the technology on to Israeli companies – manifesting itself in the form of the Israeli company Narus – inadvertently granting the Israeli government unlimited access to critical military, economic and diplomatic information.

In June, the NSA refused to provide details on its highly secret domestic spy apparatus, arguing that to do so would compromise the privacy of Americans.

Judging by what we’ve recently witnessed with the unlawful detainment of veteran Brandon Raub and numerous others, it is safe to assume that information gathered is being stored for use as opportunistic leverage to either crush dissenting voices or go after citizens choosing to exercise constitutional privileges.

NY Times Scrubs Mention Of CIA Arming Syrian Rebels

Establishment media careful to hide direct aid to terrorist-aligned FSA

Paul Joseph Watson
Infowars.com
Tuesday, August 28, 2012

In an article about France urging Syrian rebels to form a provisional government, the New York Times scrubbed a passage which revealed that the CIA was helping funnel arms to rebel groups that have aligned themselves with Al-Qaeda terrorists.
Version three of the story, posted at 19:45:05 UTC yesterday and entitled France Says It Would Recognize Provisional Syrian Government, included the line, ” American intelligence agents have helped funnel arms to rebel groups.”

However, fifteen minutes later the revelation that the CIA was arming the rebels was removed and replaced with the words, “American intelligence agents have helped to identify the rebel groups that receive arms.”

Copies of the two different versions of the article can be viewed here.

This change of wording, albeit subtle, serves to absolve the CIA of directly arming rebels, who are admittedly being led by Al-Qaeda terrorists as the London Guardian reported last month.

Earlier this month, President Barack Obama signed a secret order authorizing the CIA to aid Syrian rebels in attempting to overthrow Bashar Al-Assad. However, the order stopped short of allowing the CIA to provide lethal weapons.

Despite public claims on behalf of the White House that no weapons are being sent to the rebels, reports that the CIA has been doing precisely that have been circulating for months, including a recent story about CIA spies smuggling 14 stinger missiles into Syria so rebels could defend themselves with ground to air technology.

The New York Times admitted in a June 21 report that the CIA was “steering” arms to Syrian rebels from the Turkish border, but claimed the weapons were paid for by Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Qatar.

The New York Times’ decision to alter the wording of the article is another example of how NATO-aligned media outlets are concerned about overemphasizing western support for the rebels given their involvement in terrorist attacks and other acts of brutality.

Last week, the BBC removed a video clip which documented how FSA rebels were committing war crimes by using prisoners as unwitting suicide bombers.

In a related development, hackers infiltrated Amnesty International’s website last night and used the NGO’s blog platform to post stories about the plight of protesters in Bahrain, Kurds in Turkey, as well as an article entitled Amnesty Calls on UN to stop the US, Qatar and Turkey funding and arming Syria Rebels.

The Associated Press dismissed the article as a “fake blog post” and refused to divulge its content. Yet the story, a cached copy of which can be read here, cited confirmed reports that Syrian rebels are engaging in war crimes, as well as FSA fighters being responsible for the Houla massacre, which was initially blamed on Assad’s forces.

Mark your calendar: U.S. Fed stimulus expected ‘fairly soon’
You might want to mark Sept. 13 on your calendar — that could be the day the U.S. Federal Reserve finally offers up another round of monetary stimulus for the stunted American economy. And it might be enough to get the country past another hurdle, the so-called “fiscal cliff” that lawmakers face by the end of the year. Obama Email to Supporters: If I Lose, It's Your Fault
Obama sent out a campaign email essentially blaming his supporters if he loses. See, he’s supposedly being outspent. And because he’s supposedly being outspent, he’s losing. And he can’t spend more money unless his supporters fork it over. This is the campaign version of Obama’s entire economic argument: he can’t fix the economy unless he spends more money. And unless we give him more money, he can’t spend it. So if the economy fails, it’s our fault.
Key Obama supporters now turning on him
Among the key constituencies for Obama, only 34 percent of women believe the nation is going in the right direction, along with only 42 percent of blacks and only 2 percent of Hispanics. Among young voters, only 33 percent of those 20 or younger think Obama is leading the nation in the right direction, and only 29 percent of those in their 30s agree. The results aligned closely with the job rating that voters give Obama. Only 18 percent think he is doing an excellent job and another 28 percent a good job. A dominant 45 percent of respondents put his performance at “poor” and another 9 percent say his performance was “only fair.”

Feds: Too few Americans ‘turn to government for assistance’

More Americans rely on their families for assistance than the government, so federal officials have undertaken an effort to help people to apply for federal assistance.

“Given that only 15 percent of you turn to government assistance in tough times, we want to make sure you know about benefits that could help you,” USA.gov announced today. The ”government made easy’ website has created a “help for difficult financial times” page for people to learn more about the programs.
The government got that statistic from a poll asking Americans what helps them the most during tough times. Here are the results:
  • Savings 44%
  • Family 21%
  • Credit cards/loans 20%
  • Government assistance 15%
“Government assistance comes in different forms—from unemployment checks and food assistance to credit counseling and medical treatment,” USA.gov reminded readers.
This leg of the financial assistance push has ended. “Although our campaign to highlight Help for Difficult Financial Times has ended, we know that your struggles may continue,” said USA.gov today. “We will keep updating the tools and information we provide to help you get back on your feet.”

[This is of course completely bogus.  It goes to show that the propaganda machine can come up with any kind of poll or study to "substantiate" any lie it wants to push.  Far too many "Americans" are completely dependent on the government, which of course will be convenient when the government wants to institute martial law.  If you are dependent on the government for your daily bread, then you are not very likely to bite the hand that feeds you.]

Big Brother Stocks Up on Ammo

Right now, the DHS has enough ammunition to empty five rounds into the body of every living American citizen.

Todd Strandberg
RaptureReady.com
Aug 27, 2012

The recent purchase of ammunition by several federal agencies has triggered a stir in the blogosphere that monitors government activity. First, the Department of Homeland Security ordered 450 million rounds of ammunition, then the National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) submitted an order for 46,000 rounds, and the Social Security Administration placed an order for 174,000 rounds. The Department of Homeland Security has made other big purchases of ammo. According to Major General Jerry Curry, USA (Ret.), earlier this year, the DHS ordered 750 million rounds of hollow-point ammunition. It then turned around and ordered an additional 750 million rounds of miscellaneous bullets, including some that are capable of penetrating walls.

Hollow points are designed to expand as they strike human flesh, causing maximum damage. Since these types of bullets are banned by the Hague Convention of 1899, Declaration III, the only logical target they can be used against is the citizenry of the United States.  There doesn't seem to be any plausible reason for this huge order of ammunition. It can’t be just for training; there aren’t that many weapons in the U.S. to fire it. In the war in Iraq, our military forces used about 70 million rounds per year.  Right now, the DHS has enough ammunition to empty five rounds into the body of every living American citizen.

I'm amazed that no one in Congress is asking why the weather people would need to be so well armed. I had no idea it was so dangerous at the Social Security Administration. Since the folks at the U.S. Post Office face the greater threat from barking dogs, I'm surprised they haven't asked for an allotment of tactical nuclear warheads.  What we have here is another example of our government being out of control.

The Patriot Act, hastily passed forty-five days after 9/11 in the name of national security, has turned various departments of the government into cancers. Their only purpose in life is to grow in their ability to monitor and control the lives of every American.

“The price good men pay for indifference to public affairs is to be ruled by evil men.”

That observation from Greek philosopher Plato is as profound today as it was when he first made it over 2,400 years ago.

Governments serve a vital purpose, but they need to be kept in check. The lessons from the rise of despotic governments are much like the plots of numerous science fiction movies in which computers take over the world: If you don't have a firm grasp of the government's "off" switch, the government will come looking for your "off" switch.  I'm constantly seeing in alternative news media examples of people who've had their civil rights trampled on by the government.

One of the most wild reports is the plight of Brandon Raub, a 26-year-old former Marine, pro-liberty activist, and Virginia resident.  He was seized by the FBI and Secret Service agents over posts privately made via a Facebook game Raub was playing with his siblings. The goon squad couldn't think of anything to charge Raub with, so they had him committed to a mental hospital. A few days later, a judge ordered him released after a public outcry. The treatment of Raub was a travesty of justice, but the true outrage was the revelation that Big Brother is monitoring everything we do.

If you send a birthday wish to Grandma, you might was well CC the folks at Homeland Security.

The government seems to have totally lost sight of the original cause of the September 11 attacks.

The trial for the five men charged in planning the murders of 2,976 people has been on hold for nearly a decade. Last week, the defense said it does not expect the "trial of the century" to start until 2016--fifteen years after the attacks. It will actually take less time to grow the trees used to print the legal documents in this trial.

A growing number of people realizes that America is turning into a Big Brother state. Lubbock County Judge Tom Head is warning that Mr. Obama winning a second term would lead to a revolt by the American people and possible invasion of United Nations troops. “He’s going to try to hand over the sovereignty of the U.S. to the United Nations," the judge told a Fox News affiliate. “I’m thinking worst-case scenario,” Judge Head explained. “Civil unrest, civil disobedience, civil war maybe…we’re not just talking a few riots or demonstrations.”

I doubt there are enough liberty-loving people in this country to stop a tyrannical grab for power. A huge factor in the lack of support is the number people who receive aid from Uncle Sam.

Right now, there more than 110 million people in this nation are on some form of welfare.  Most of these people don't care if chains are being placed on their hands and feet, just as long as their mouths can still reach the government teat.

The declining state of America reminds me of a recent journey I made to the JFK Airport after visiting New York City. After spending a few days on Manhattan Island, I left by taking the subway all the way to the airport. As I progressed towards JFK, the quality of the neighborhood steadily declined. At one point, there wasn't a building to be found that wasn't marred with graffiti. Even though my sense of danger was telling me I was headed in the wrong direct, my map told me I was headed in the right direction.

If America reaches a point where it is no longer the home of the free, we can rest assured that there is place where there is liberty. I will gladly take the kingdom of Heaven over the earthly kingdom we have now.

"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away" (Revelation 21:4).

Military men are dumb, stupid animals to be used as pawns for foreign policy.

"Military men are dumb, stupid animals to be used as pawns for foreign policy."
- Henry Kissinger

The sentence was reported in "The Final Days", Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein

It was said by Kissinger in front of Alexander Haig, newly appointed White House chief of staff, in Haig new office in 1973

I quote to you the sentences related: as you may notice the quote between brackets is "dumb, stupid animals to be used" that was never denied by Kissinger

Quote:
....
In Haig's presence, Kissinger referred pointedly to military men as "dumb, stupid animals to be used" as pawns for foreign policy. Kissinger often took up a post outside the doorway to Haig's office and dressed him down in front of the secretaries for alleged acts of incompetence with which Haig was not even remotely involved. Once when the Air Force was authorized to resume bombing of North Vietnam, the planes did not fly on certain days because of bad weather. Kissinger assailed Haig. He complained bitterly that the generals had been screamin for the limits to be taken off but that now their pilots were afraid to go up in a little fog. The country needed generals who could win battles, Kissinger said, not good briefers like Haig.
.........
[paragraph]
On another occasion, when Haig was leaving for a trip to Cambodia to meet with Premier Lon Nol, Kissinger escorted him to a staff car, where reporters and a retinue of aides waited. As Haig bent to get into the automobile, Kissinger stopped him and began polishing the single star on his shoulder. "Al, if you're a good boy, I'll get you another one," he said.

Good to know that the next regime is on board with the same agenda to convert us from a constitutional republic to a socialist dictatorship.

You can always count on politicians from both parties to push forward the same globalist big-government agenda.

I particularly liked this comment about the fact that the agencies most in a position to enforce martial law are now answerable only to the President and not to congress (contrary to balance of powers and checks and balances outlined in the Constitution).

More freedom for Obama, less accountability, and the ability to control. Note: Homeland Security, DOD, and FEMA are on this list. Scarey thought indeed. I wonder if the same people who did President Obama’s background check will be doing theirs also?

August 21, 2012 by Lorri Anderson

According to news reports President Obama signed the “The Presidential Appointment Efficiency and Streamlining Act of 2011” on August 10, 2012.

Politico.com reports, “Democrats and Republicans came together to give President Obama more power to appoint officials jobs in his administration without seeking approval from the Senate.” This bill will go into effect anywhere from 0-60 days from the date of President Obama signing it.

The Senate approved the bill, 79-20, in June 2011.

The House approved it, 261-116, last month. “In the middle of election season, Democrats and Republicans in Congress have come together to give President Barack Obama more power to appoint officials to jobs in his administration without seeking approval from the Senate.”

Yes, you read correctly: more power. The article went on to point out just why this didn’t break across mainstream media: Lost in the hubbub last weekend over Rep. Paul Ryan’s selection as Mitt Romney’s running mate was the fact that Obama signed a bill that eliminates the need to obtain Senate confirmation for about 170 executive branch posts: the Presidential Appointment Efficiency and Streamlining Act of 2011.

Senator Lieberman, the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Government Affairs, which marked up and reported out the measure, said: “This bipartisan legislation represents the Senate at its best. A problem was identified, and Democrats and Republicans worked together to craft a solution. Now, future Administrations will be able to get their teams in place more quickly, and the Senate will be able focus its time and energy on the most important Executive Branch appointments. In no way does this bill erode the Senate’s role of “advice and consent.”

Rather, it strengthens the Senate’s power by freeing us up to concentrate on nominees who will actually shape national policy.” This is very concerning, this gives Obama the legal right to hire who he wants without approval from the senate for the following positions. A list of positions exempted from Senate confirmation appears below.

This list is provided via Senator Joe Lieberman.

California law barring parents from 'curing' gay children moves through legislature

A first-of-its-kind state law that would restrict parents from trying to "cure" their minor children's same-sex attractions seems headed to the governor's desk. If both state houses can agree on the final language, the legislation, which would ban all sexual orientation change effort (SOCE) treatment for minors, will be sent to Democratic Gov. Jerry Brown for his signature sometime in September. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2012/08/18/california-law-barring-parents-from-curing-gay-children-moves-through/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+foxnews%2Fpolitics+%28Internal+-+Politics+-+Text%29&utm_content=Google+Reader

Christianity & gun owners in the crosshairs: Chilling tactic exposed

And if you are a Christian gun owner who disagrees with the Progressive anti-Christian agenda in America and have a platform to inform others, you better believe that you are under intense scrutiny. Sound like paranoid propaganda? Read on. It’s one thing to say that there is a war against Christianity and an active agenda to disarm Americans, but it’s another thing altogether to watch it unfold, up close and personal.   http://www.homelandsecurityus.com/archives/6577

Who Does The Government Intend To Shoot?

Who Does The Government Intend To Shoot? Those against whom the hollow point bullets are to be used — those causing the civil unrest — must be American citizens; since the SSA has never been used overseas to help foreign countries maintain control of their citizens. What would be the target of these 174, 000 rounds of hollow point bullets? It can’t simply be to control demonstrators or rioters. Hollow point bullets are so lethal that the Geneva Convention does not allow their use on the battle field in time of war. Hollow point bullets don’t just stop or hurt people, they penetrate the body, spread out, fragment and cause maximum damage to the body’s organs. Death often follows.   http://dailycaller.com/2012/08/17/who-does-the-government-intend-to-shoot

Court: No warrant needed to track phone

(Confirmation that all cell phones are monitored for voice recognition AND able to used for location tracking. This sets the precedent that the government doesn't need a warrant to use capabilities that are "inherent" to a device. Why do they need to attach a GPS tracking device when all they need to do is use a cell phone or "black box" already on board the vehicle.) Published: Aug. 15, 2012 at 6:39 PM CINCINNATI, Aug. 15 (UPI) -- CINCINNATI, Aug. 15 (UPI) -- A U.S. appellate court has ruled police can track a suspect's location through his cellphone without first obtaining a warrant. Criminals cannot "complain" when police use a feature on the suspect's own device to catch them, the 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled. It ruled law enforcement officials were within their legal right to track Melvin Skinner, an alleged drug trafficker, through the global positioning system feature on his cellphone before his arrest in 2006, CNET reported Wednesday. Skinner appealed his subsequent conviction, arguing it violated his Fourth Amendment right against unreasonable search and seizure. "The drug runners in this case used pay-as-you-go (and thus presumably more difficult to trace) cellphones to communicate during the cross-country shipment of drugs," Judge John M. Rogers wrote in his opinion. "Unfortunately for the drug runners, the phones were trackable in a way they may not have suspected. The Constitution, however, does not protect their erroneous expectations regarding the undetectability of their modern tools." "When criminals use modern technological devices to carry out criminal acts and to reduce the possibility of detection, they can hardly complain when the police take advantage of the inherent characteristics of those very devices to catch them," Rogers wrote. "This is not a case in which the government secretly placed a tracking device in someone's car," he wrote, referring to a ruling earlier this year by the U.S. Supreme Court that said law enforcement agencies must obtain a warrant in order to place a GPS tracking device on a vehicle. IDIOTIC LOGIC OF THE LEFT AND GUN CONTROL

The problem with our society is not the availability of guns it is the absence of a moral standard for our society.

By Michael LeMieux

NewsWithViews.com

Politicians who support gun control and gun control advocates are either ignorant, power hungry control freaks, or delusional idealists. Ignorance would mean simply lacking in knowledge of the subject but because of their positions and touted “research” they should know the subject. Power hunger control freaks would indicate a desire to subjugate a population under their perspective of reality regardless of facts. And finally delusional idealists believe that all mankind can live in such a way as to make weapons unnecessary and that we can force this position by simply taking away the weapons.

Each and every position is lacking in common sense and logic. First: history of mankind has shown that violence by man against man has always taken place. Some have argued that it is human nature but in a civilized society we try to provide mechanisms to allow alternatives to violence. For many of us that is sufficient, for others – not so much. Secondly: for whatever reason; some people seemed to be pre-disposed to violence. Jack the ripper, who still evokes terror and disgust from society, did his deeds with a knife. Whether you call it a mental derangement or just plain evil there are bad people in the world, there always has been and there always will be. Lastly; to believe a utopian ideal can be accomplished by forcing people to do so is delusional on its face. The vast majority of people when facing starvation or watching their loved ones starve will do things they normally would not do to save them – steal, fight, and perhaps even kill to save the lives of themselves and their loved ones.

To be right up front – gun control is not about guns, it never has been, it is about control. There is no other conclusion that can be drawn. Let’s take the most recent Colorado move theater nut-job for instance; at his home police found a number of explosives and equipment. He had the knowledge to build “sophisticated” explosive devices. Do we think for one moment that if by some miracle every firearm in the US was confiscated and no firearms were smuggled into the country and no garage shop machinist built a weapon for him that he would not have used those explosive devices to carry out his fiendish plot?

The common denominator in all this is the individual. Does a person become more dead if he is killed by a firearm rather than a pipe bomb or a sword or an icepick? The object that kills is merely a tool chosen by the individual. The act of killing, by whatever tool, is still a crime, and has always been a crime.

We also always hear from the left that we need to make it harder for the criminals to get guns. Really? So why do they pass laws against the law abiding citizen making it harder for them to defend themselves from the criminal? The criminal is doing nothing new. His behavior has not changed only the tools he has used. We have outlawed many inanimate objects over the centuries and not once has it made those objects go away. A perfect example is drug laws. We have passed thousands of pages of laws to outlaw drugs and decades later we have more drugs on the street than ever before. We outlawed alcohol nation-wide only to repeal it a few years later after it failed so miserably.

What is the common denominator here? To use a TV phrase it is the “human factor.” Does it matter what drug a person is on when he runs someone over in his car? Does it change the effect on the person struck? Does it matter what tool was used to threaten someone in a robbery? Do you only give up $40.00 to a man with a knife and $100.0 to the man with a gun? What we need to focus on is behavior – not tools.

An example of the lefts logic is given by ex-President Jimmy Carter who stated
“I have used weapons since I was big enough to carry one, and now own two handguns, four shotguns and three rifles, two with scopes. I use them carefully, for hunting game from our family woods and fields, and occasionally for hunting with my family and friends in other places. We cherish the right to own a gun and some of my hunting companions like to collect rare weapons. One of them is a superb craftsman who makes muzzle-loading rifles, one of which I displayed for four years in my private White House office.

But none of us wants to own an assault weapon, because we have no desire to kill policemen or go to a school or workplace to see how many victims we can accumulate before we are finally shot or take our own lives. That’s why the White House and Congress must not give up on trying to reinstate a ban on assault weapons, even if it may be politically difficult.”[1]

First of all try to overlook the rhetoric of wanting “to kill policemen” etc. This is an emotional plea to sway people to his position and has nothing to do with the facts. No law abiding citizen wants to do these things and having a law against assault weapons will not deter a criminal from getting them. Secondly, President Carter is disingenuous at best when he talks about the “assault weapons” ban. He stated he owns three rifles, two with scopes and the only difference between his firearms and the assault weapon is in the furniture attached to it. (Furniture is the items attached to the firearm, stock, hand guards, flash suppressor, etc.)

An assault weapon, according to the assault weapon ban, is any firearm that had a certain number of furniture items on the firearm. For instance if I remove the “flash suppressor” and replace it with a muzzle break, change the pistol grip to a one piece stock that had a thumb-hole in it, and reduced the magazine from 20 rounds to 10 – have I changed the ballistic capability of the weapon? A 7.62 (30 cal) round will impact with the same devastation regardless of what the weapon LOOKS LIKE. An M-16 rifle shoots the 5.56/.223 round and is used around the world by many militaries. Do you think the round will be less effective if shot from a rifle that is set-up in a non-militaristic looking weapon?
Let’s look at this from a different point of view: in the Supreme Court case of United States V. Miller, the Supreme Court found in favor of the United States concerning the interstate transportation of a sawed off shotgun. The defense argued that the weapon was protected under the Second Amendment and Justice McReynolds gave the opinion of the court stating:

“In the absence of any evidence tending to show that possession or use of a "shotgun having a barrel of less than eighteen inches in length" at this time has some reasonable relationship to the preservation or efficiency of a well-regulated militia, we cannot say that the Second Amendment guarantees the right to keep and bear such an instrument. Certainly it is not within judicial notice that this weapon is any part of the ordinary military equipment, or that its use could contribute to the common defense.”[2]

Their finding of the court in supporting the US government’s position was that the weapon would NOT be covered under the second amendment as it was NOT a part of the “ordinary military equipment.” However, assault weapons ARE a part of the normal military equipment and therefore ARE covered under the Second Amendment. We cannot have it both ways.
Senator Diane Feinstein likewise shows here ignorance stating:

"Weapons of war don't belong on the streets," Feinstein said on Fox News. This is a powerful weapon, it had a 100-round drum; this is a man who planned, who went in, and his purpose was to kill as many people as he could in a sold-out theater. We've got to really sit down and come to grips with what is sold to the average citizen in America.”

“I have no problem with people being licensed to buy a firearm, but these are weapons that are only going to be used to kill a lot of people in close combat," she said.[3]

We have already covered the legal, Second Amendment, aspect to gun control but what about the moral rights of the citizen to have firearms? She states that these are used to kill people “in close combat.” It is interesting that she uses that terminology. I’m sure she used it to evoke a negative militaristic emotion from the reader as something inherently evil. The act at the theater was most definitely evil but the weapon was just a tool.

But getting back to Ms. Feinstein and the moral right of the people – why did the founders put the second amendment into the Bill of Rights? Was it to allow Americans to hunt and go target shooting? No. Was it to come to the aid of the country and keep the peace? Yes in part. Was it to be a check and balance to civil authority against a tyrannical government? Absolutely. United States Representative Ron Paul, from the 14th District in Texas, stated in a November 6th, 2006 article entitled “Gun Control on the Back Burner”:

“The Second amendment is not about hunting deer or keeping a pistol in your nightstand. It is not about protecting oneself against common criminals. It is about preventing tyranny. The Founders knew that unarmed citizens would never be able to overthrow a tyrannical government as they did. They envisioned government as a servant, not a master, of the American people. The muskets they used against the British Army were the assault rifles of that time. It is practical, rather than alarmist, to understand that unarmed citizens cannot be secure in their freedoms.”[4]

Those on the left talk of wanting to protect the citizens by enacting tougher gun laws but by enacting these laws they disarm law abiding citizens thereby aiding the criminal. They totally overlook the entire history of mankind and the fact that governments have killed more of their own citizens than the criminals ever have and the very first thing a government does is to remove the ability of the citizen to resist is first registering and then confiscating weapons; whether that is a sword or a rifle.
The gun control advocates would have us believe the following:

First: Gun control laws curb criminal behavior.

Second: If gun availability is lessened there would be a decrease in gun crimes.

Third: More gun control means safer streets, schools, homes, etc.

All three statements would be true, in a vacuum or in a totally controlled environment. If we add the human element into the equation, these statements become false. First, as we have already discussed, the criminal does not obey the law and therefore does not care about legally purchasing or owning firearms. Do we really believe that someone who is capable of rape or murder cares one whit about registering a firearm or submitting for a license? Of course not! He does not obey the law; therefore no law will curb his behavior. Second, in every state where handguns are freely permitted to be carried there has been a lessening of overall violent crimes. In every country where massive gun confiscation and control has been enacted, they have seen an increase in gun related crime. It does seem to follow, “if you outlaw guns, the only people who will have guns will be the outlaws.” Third, the city with the most stringent gun control laws is the city with the highest gun crime, Washington D.C.

So why doesn’t gun control work? It is really quite simple, laws are meant to control and regulate “behavior” not objects, a set of standards, if you will, that says these things we do not do, and if you do them there will be consequences. Legal systems are designed to provide a framework of acceptable “behavior” by which persons within a society interact with each other. Murder is illegal in nearly every society on the face of the earth. How that murder is accomplished is simply tool identification. The lack of moral upbringing and interference by the government has removed parental power. Today a child in some cities cannot be spanked out of fear that child protective services will take their child away. Yet, the state makes the parents responsible for the child’s behavior, and stands between the child and parent when discipline is most needed. If a child grows up thinking there are no harsh consequences to whatever he does, then he will do whatever he wants.

The problem with our society is not the availability of guns it is the absence of a moral standard for our society.

What our nation needs are laws that punish criminal behavior and to stop criminalizing honest citizens who wish only to protect themselves and their families. Both the Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF) statistics have shown that the majority of violent crimes are committed without firearms, and the vast majority of gun crimes are committed with guns that were illegally obtained, bypassing gun laws. So the net effect of gun control laws is to affect the law abiding citizen and has virtually no effect on the criminal element of our society.
So instead of listening to lying politicians, agenda driven special interest groups, start taking responsibility for your own life. Stop demanding from someone else what you are too much of a coward to do yourself. The Supreme Court has stated the police are not liable to protect any individual citizen. Then if they are not – who is? YOU!

If more law abiding citizens would purchase, train, and start taking responsibility for themselves and their position in society, those who would do them ill would think twice about it. And all you PC business owners, like Colorado movie theaters, who make it unlawful for a law abiding citizen to defend himself have created an environment that emboldens the lawless because no one is going to be able to do a damn thing to stop them. These businesses have a degree of responsibility for creating a venue of criminal terror.

POLICE IGNORE CONSTITUTION, ENFORCE SHARIA

Christians violently assaulted by Muslims at a festival in Dearborn, Michigan, now have legal representation.

The American Freedom Law Center is representing the Christians. Attorney and co-founder Robert Muise tells OneNewsNow the group of evangelists appeared at the festival with signs pointing to John 3:16 and T-shirts displaying a message in English and Arabic.

"And as they were walking down along the city streets and public sidewalks, they were literally stoned by a violent mob of Muslim youths," he explains. "Meanwhile, the local law enforcement did absolutely nothing. In fact, they sat on their hands and refused to enforce the criminal laws against the Muslim mob who were trying to silence, and effectively did silence, the speech of these Christians."

When the Christian group approached the senior officer at the scene asking for protection, the attorney says they were refused.

"They were given the choice: either the Christians leave the festival or the police would arrest them because of the response by the violent mob, which is a direct violation of the Christians' constitutional rights," he says. "The police have a duty not to effectuate what the courts have called a 'Hecklers Veto,' and certainly here you would expect the police to enforce the criminal laws."

So Muise says what happened was the enforcement of Sharia or Muslim law in the city streets. The punishment for blasphemy under Sharia "is capital punishment," or stoning. Muise is preparing a federal civil rights lawsuit against the sheriff's department.

Harvard Study Finds Fluoride Lowers IQ

PRESS RELEASE
July 24, 2012, 8:44 a.m. EDT

Harvard Study Finds Fluoride Lowers IQ - Published in Federal Gov't Journal

NEW YORK, July 24, 2012 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Harvard University researchers' review of fluoride/brain studies concludes "our results support the possibility of adverse effects of fluoride exposures on children's neurodevelopment." It was published online July 20 in Environmental Health Perspectives, a US National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences' journal (1), reports the NYS Coalition Opposed to Fluoridation, Inc. (NYSCOF)
"The children in high fluoride areas had significantly lower IQ than those who lived in low fluoride areas," write Choi et al.
Further, the EPA says fluoride is a chemical "with substantial evidence of developmental neurotoxicity."
Fluoride (fluosilicic acid) is added to US water supplies at approximately 1 part per million attempting to reduce tooth decay.
Water was the only fluoride source in the studies reviewed and was based on high water fluoride levels. However, they point out research by Ding (2011) suggested that low water fluoride levels had significant negative associations with children's intelligence.
Choi et al. write, "Although fluoride may cause neurotoxicity in animal models and acute fluoride poisoning causes neurotoxicity in adults, very little is known of its effects on children's neurodevelopment. They recommend more brain/fluoride research on children and at individual-level doses.
"It's senseless to keep subjecting our children to this ongoing fluoridation experiment to satisfy the political agenda of special-interest groups," says attorney Paul Beeber, NYSCOF President. "Even if fluoridation reduced cavities, is tooth health more important than brain health? It's time to put politics aside and stop artificial fluoridation everywhere," says Beeber.
After reviewing fluoride toxicological data, the NRC reported in 2006, "It's apparent that fluorides have the ability to interfere with the functions of the brain."
Choi's team writes, "Fluoride readily crosses the placenta. Fluoride exposure to the developing brain, which is much more susceptible to injury caused by toxicants than is the mature brain, may possibly lead to damage of a permanent nature."
Fluoride accumulates in the body. Even low doses are harmful to babies, the thyroid, kidney patients and heavy water-drinkers. There are even doubts about fluoridation's effectiveness (2). New York City Legislation is pending to stop fluoridation. Many communities have already stopped.
Infant formula when mixed with fluoridated water delivers 100-200 times more fluoride than breastmilk. (3)
More information on fluoride's impact on the brain is here.

Vote to Throw out Obama, but don't forget what you are voting for...

Yes, let's get rid of Obama... but don't check your brain at the door after casting your vote.

Check out the voting records of Romney and Ryan, then compare that to their current rhetoric.  Don't rest on your laurels after the election, Republican progressives need as much watchdogging as the Democrat progressives.  The new world order globalists are counting on us going back to sleep once we throw out the current regime of bums.

The Bad Guys vs. the Bad Guys

Todd Strandbergraptureready.com The fighting in Syria has escalated to a full-blown civil war, with the Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad doing everything he can to maintain his dynasty. The opposition only has light weapons, and has asked Western nations for military support. Unless al-Assad uses chemical weapons against his own people, we are unlikely to become directly involved in the conflict.  In other Arab nations, we apply diplomatic and military pressure to show autocratic rulers the door. One of the key reasons we have cold feet over Syria is the realization that we don't know if the rebellion we are supporting will lead to a change that will be better than the outfit currently running Syria. You would have to use twisted logic to figure out why we are fighting al-Qaeda in Afghanistan but are supporting forces in Syria that have al-Qaeda as part of its ranks.  Western nations were all too happy to encourage the revolution that took place in Iraq, Tunisia, Libya, and Egypt. Now that the democratic process has been allowed to run its course in those countries, we are now confronted with governments that are dominated by radical Islamists. For years, what allowed for stability in the Middle East were dictators who took their nations' oil wealth and blew it on themselves and their cronies. When Libya's former head Moammar Gadhafi was overthrown, it was found that he controlled a vast fortune worth over $200 billion. Now that strict Islam governments are managing the national budget, money that went for palaces and private jets is now more likely to be spent on tanks and weapons of mass destruction.  It may have been a huge mistake for us to remove Saddam Hussein from power in Iraq. He kept a tight lid on the militant Islamic groups in his nation, and he provided a vital role in keeping Iran at bay. Even though Saddam brutalized his people, the death count under his rule was nowhere close to the carnage that was triggered by the NATO invasion. Over 150,000 Iraqis have been killed by the Suni-vs.-Shiite unrest.  Afghanistan is following the same pattern. The liberal media has done its best to hide the fact that a host of ethnic, political, and tribal factions are constantly at war with each other. The Taliban ran Afghanistan with a ruthlessness that could only be compared to Hitler's SS, but at least there was order to their madness. Today, pointless suicide bombings have become a way of life, and the Afghan government is one of the most corrupt on the planet.  The sinister nature of the Arab people is not some fluke or genetic defect. The Bible warns that their nature is because they are children of Ishmael. When Abraham sinned against God by having a child with his slave Hagar, he set into motion a conflict that will eventually lead to world War III. "And the angel of the LORD said unto her, Behold, thou art with child, and shalt bear a son, and shalt call his name Ishmael; because the LORD hath heard thy affliction. And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man's hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren" (Genesis 16:11-12).  It would have saved us a great deal of heartache if we had realized that there are no good guys in the Islamic world. The War on Terror has cost us $3 trillion and the lives of 7,600 America soldiers. Every time we try to make friends with the Muslims, they have only rewarded our kindness with treachery. The situation in Afghanistan has become insane. In the past two years, there has been more than incidents of attacks against coalition forces. In one incident, an Afghani arranged to have breakfast with American officers. During the meal he pulled out a gun and killed three of them. A NATO spokesman said the incident and another one that quickly followed "clearly do not reflect the overall situation here in Afghanistan."  The one area where it is almost impossible to cover up the demonic nature of Islamic thinking is how they deal with Israel. Ask the average Muslim his view of an Israeli, and he will tell you the Israelis are the offspring of "pigs and dogs."  A common hatred of Israel was highlighted by a prank Egyptian talk show that infuriates guests by duping them into believing they are on Israeli TV. The show, called Judgment after Deliberations, invites guests on the air under the pretense that they are participating in a German talk show. When the guests realize they are on Israeli TV, they go into a rage.  Normally, in the civilized world, this would be presented as an exercise in what not to do. The goal of this prank is to demonstrate how everyone should act if they were in a situation that made them appear friendly to Israel.  The only good guys in the Middle East are the residents of the state of Israel. No Jew ever beheaded Americans, no Jew ever flew a plane into one of our buildings, and no Jew ever attacked us with a suicide bomb. Rather than standing beside the people who have been a blessing to us, we are strangely drawn to the people who have been a continuous curse.  “I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you” (Genesis 12:2-3).

Austerity's Cost: Abandoned Children in Europe

As the euro zone debt crisis deepens and austerity measures take their toll across Europe, the number of young children and babies abandoned across the region has increased, according to local charities.

The rise in the abandonment of infants across Europe is most visible in the spread of "baby hatches" or "boxes" across Europe, where unwanted infants are left anonymously.

The phenomenon was previously more prevalent among immigrants, but it is becoming more widespread among financially desperate members of the local population.

The hatches are sensor-activated so when a baby is placed, an alarm is activated and a carer comes to collect the child. Despite the practice being widely viewed as contravening the 1953 European Convention on Human Rights, of the 27 EU member countries, 11 countries still have "baby hatches" in operation, including Germany, Italy and Portugal.

In those countries where hatches are illegal, the number of infants abandoned in hospitals, clinics and churches has also risen, raising concerns among European charities, the UN and the European Commission that austerity measures and increasing social deprivation are the catalyst for the rise in child abandonment.

According to SOS Villages, a European charity that attempts to help families in financial hardship before abandonment occurs, in the last year alone 1,200 children in Greece and 750 in Italy have been abandoned. That is almost double the 400 children abandoned in Italy a year ago, and up from 114 children abandoned in Greece in 2003.

With the cost of raising children estimated to be 20-30 percent of an average household budget (per child) in Europe, more families are now struggling to cope with the costs.

The charity SOS Villages has reported that adoption rates in Greece and Italy have risen by 20 percent in the last two years, a sharp rise in line with the deterioration of the economy.
George Protopapas, National Director of the charity's Greek division said that parents already struggling with keeping a roof over their heads are now barely managing to keep their children clothed and fed, if at all.

Protopapas cited the example of a four-year old child left at a nursery by her mother with a note that read: "I will not be coming to pick up Anna today because I cannot afford to look after her. Please take good care of her. Sorry."

According to Protopapas, the charity does not have exact figures for economic orphans, but over the next few years he expects "there will be more cases like this."

"In the past year, SOS Greece has had a 150 percent increase in applications for all kinds of support, mainly [for] financial reasons, and 87 percent of applicants are Greeks," Protopapas said.
Data from the Hellenic Statistical Authority shows that 27.7 percent of Greeks are now facing penury.

"For the moment most cases come from [the] low and poor class. Greek middle-class families are affected by the crisis but I believe they will be the victims in the coming two years. They will probably need serious support to survive," Protopapas said.

His colleague, Stergios Sifnios, Director of Social Work in SOS Villages, told CNBC that in his 30 years of working for the charity he had not seen a societal crisis similar to this, prompting him to believe that things can only get worse.

"We are really afraid that in the future we will have a big number of families that cannot manage to keep their own children because of these problems. We are trying to be ready for this," he said, but the government must keep on funding social welfare services."

"[The government must] stop downgrading services in the name of the austerity measures."
The phenomenon has not been lost on policy makers at the European Commission, the EU's executive arm. According to an EC report, 116 million people - and 20.5 percent of children - are at risk of poverty in the EU in 2012.

CNBC contacted the Commission's office for Social Affairs but policy makers were unavailable for comment. An EU-funded program, "Daphne", was commissioned to assess which children were most at risk, and the economic instability of a household was cited by the report as a major factor in the increase of child abandonment.

"Many factors contribute to children being separated from their families. Research shows that the primary factors are everyday conditions e.g., poverty, unemployed parents, low or lack of income, a lack of material resources, and poor living conditions."

According to Professor Kevin Browne of the Institute of Work, Health & Organizations at Nottingham University and one of the authors of the Daphne report, as economic conditions in Europe deteriorate, the human rights of Europe's children are at risk.

"Infants and young children are those most at risk of being abandoned and the rates of child abandonment within the EU are concerning, especially in the current economic climate."

"Article 7 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, states that every child has 'the right to know and be cared for by his or her parents,' he said.

"When a child is abandoned, this right is violated", he said.
