The Militarized U.S. Police, by the Numbers

Many of us know retired police officers who remember a world where it was considered a failure to draw a weapon unless under direct attack. Even if such an action was required, the result was nightmare inducing. Today’s police seem to have lost such empathy. As a consequence, police are rarely a welcome sight these days; they are being equipped and trained as if they are an occupying force (even in small towns), replete with body armor, tactical gear, and vehicles coming straight from the US military at bargain prices

Obama lawyer stuns Supreme justice

Pin drop! Obama lawyer stuns Supreme justice
In a dramatic moment at the Supreme Court Tuesday, Solicitor General Donald Verrilli told justices that U.S. business owners have no religious freedom to reject government mandates forcing them to cover abortions.

High court to weigh limits of religious liberty in ObamaCare case
The high court on Tuesday will hear challenges to ObamaCare’s contentious “birth control mandate,” which requires companies to offer contraceptive services to workers as part of their insurance coverage. If successful, the challenge could peel away a significant portion of the mandate.

Hobby Lobby case: Court weighs birth control mandate
The US Supreme Court has heard arguments in a case that turns on whether for-profit companies can exercise religious beliefs. Two companies are challenging a provision of a 2010 healthcare overhaul that requires employers to cover the cost of workers' birth control. Their owners say that violates their Christian beliefs. The government says an exemption would undermine the law.

Europe, Stunned by Reckless Russia, Mistrusts Feckless Ukrainian Leaders
Nearly two years to the day after Ukraine and the European Union first initialed an agreement promising greater trade and political ties, both parties signed the pact last week in a move meant to bolster the nascent pro-Western government in Kiev. But as Russia settles into Crimea, putting an end to the post-Cold-War assumption that European borders would forever more be unalterable by force, the mood in Brussels has darkened.

5 Disasters the Environmentalist Left Blamed on American Industry

5 Disasters the Environmentalist Left Blamed on American Industry
With the Biblical epic Noah slated to hit theaters this, the left is stoked about apocalyptic disaster springing from misuse of nature. The movie itself reportedly blames God’s wrath on a combination of overpopulation and environmental degradation; it’s a perverse environmental take on the sin that led God to destroy humanity through the flood. This neo-pagan worldview – the belief that nature is a deity to be worshipped, and capable of avenging itself on its arrogant human taskmasters – now finds itself mirrored in pseudo-scientific discussion of virtually every disaster of the last year.

First Ring System Around an Asteroid

First Ring System Around an Asteroid

Recent discovery that the remote asteroid Chariklo is surrounded by two dense and narrow rings.
Telescopes at seven locations in South America, including the 1.54-metre Danish and TRAPPISTtelescopes at ESO’s La Silla Observatory in Chile were used to make this surprise discovery in the outer Solar System.
This unique finding has sparked much interest and debate since it is the smallest object by far to have rings and only the fifth body in the Solar System — after the much larger planets Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune — to have this feature.
Astronomers think that this sort of ring is likely to be formed from debris left over after a collision. The story of this unique and unexpected discovery is told in ESOcast 64: First Ring System Around an Asteroid.

SURPRISE ANNOUNCEMENT?
Later today in Brazil, an international team of astronomers will announce a controversial discovery in the outer solar system. According to an ESO media advisory, "the unexpected result raises several unanswered questions and is expected to provoke much debate." The press conference, to be held in Portuguese, commences at 18:30 CET (15:00 BRT) on March 26th. Stay tuned for the surprise.

Obama Administration Attempting to Write a New Moral Code

'Obama Administration Is Attempting to Write a New Moral Code'
If you restrict those of faith from applying their conscience to the world around them, then you quench the progress of freedom.

Franklin Graham: Some Administration Officials Are ‘Anti-Christ’
Some of the people working in the Obama administration and in the White House are trying to “completely secularize our military” and are “hostile to Christians,” to the point that they “are anti-Christ in what they say and in what they do,” said Christian evangelist Franklin Graham, the son of world-renowned preacher Rev. Billy Graham.

The Religion of Equality

It would take a supremely diabolical mind to conceive a system that promises freedom, yet produces enslavement.

Liberals who favor big government typically justify their misguided worldview on the basis of equality, fairness and social justice. They claim that the current system is unfair, and they are here to make things right by leveling the playing field.

This Religion of Equality can only be the brainchild of the devil himself. It would take a supremely diabolical mind to conceive a system that promises freedom, yet produces enslavement. The reason why the Religion of Equality doesn't work is because liberty can’t exist without a moral foundation.

Probably the best example of this reality is the welfare state. The promise of helping the victims of oppression has entangled entire generations in a cycle of soul-crushing government dependency. If you look at neighborhoods where the majority of the people are on welfare, you will likely find ones blighted by drugs, crime, and moral decadency.

The left has been very active in trying to make homosexuality an equality issue. For the past several years, they have been striving to make gay marriage a constitutional right. The entire concept of gay marriage is based on a lie. It is well-known that the average male homosexual live-in relationship lasts between two and three years.

To be gay is to be promiscuous. The Journal of Sex Research did a study of the sexual practices of older homosexual men found that only 2.7 percent of older homosexuals had only one sexual partner in their lifetime. One study of partnered homosexuals, which was published in the journal AIDS, found that men with a steady partner had an average of eight sexual partners per year.
[Sodomite 'marriage' will not elevate sodomite relationships to the level of heterosexual marriage, but will instead drag heterosexual marriage down to the level of sodomite 'marriage']

It is an insult to argue that homosexual relationships are compatible with heterosexuals. A survey conducted for Parade magazine found that eighty-one percent of married men and eighty-five percent of married women reported that they had never violated their marriage vows. The only group that would benefit from making gay marriage the law of the land is the divorce lawyers.

The black population has been the most victimized by the Religion of Equality. To find this to be the case, one only needs to go to the nation of South Africa—the holy land of racial equality. Back in the 1980s, there were endless cries for the end of apartheid on South Africa. (Today, many blacks in that country would like to go back to the days of apartheid because their dream of freedom has turned into a nightmare.)

South Africa has become the rape capital of the world. One in four South African men questioned in a survey said they had raped someone, and nearly half admitted having attacked more than one victim. Since the end of apartheid in 1994, blacks in South African have been locked into the same level of poverty while neighbor nations have seen dramatic improvements.

The reason why South Africa has lagged behind its neighbors is because one of the poisons that come with the Religion of Equality—is the lack of accountability for the groups labeled as a “minority.” When corruption or bad decisions are made there is no criticism because that would be “racist.” Here we are twenty years after the peaceful transition of power in South Africa, and the Western liberal media is still blaming that nation’s problems on its apartheid past.

Detroit was driven into bankruptcy by decades of the same type of mismanagement which was never questioned. Because the city is eighty-five percent black, the press and government regulators let the corruption fester until it became unmanageable.

The Muslim world probably gets the most free passes when it comes to criticism.

I just read a report that said 1,200 migrant workers from India and Nepal have died in Qatar, as a result of building the structures for the 2022 World Cup. The International Trade Union Confederation estimates that 4,000 migrant workers will die by the time the first game is played in 2022. The appalling death rate would never be allowed in the Western world. Since Muslims have immunity, the body count grows unabated.

Christians are always open for condemnation. Anyone who holds to the teachings of the Holy Bible is an enemy of the Religion of Equality. The core reason why believers will be beheaded during the Tribulation will be because they will not renounce their faith and belief that Jesus Christ is the only path to salvation. (Tribulation saints, those who are saved after the Rapture.)

Anyone seeking to achieve true equality needs to become a child of the Living God. In Christ, we are all one. Those who put their faith in Him will someday be free from all oppression and hatred.

“For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise” (Galatians 3:27-29).

The Historical Significance of the Month of April for the USA

 By Tommy Hunter
http://raptureready.com/

As we come to end of the month of March, I cannot help but reflect on the rapidity of prophetic events that have occurred since the beginning of this year. We have seen our nation drift further into the moral sewer with judges in six states overturning same sex marriage bans signed into law by majority votes--and recent polls show that a majority of Americans now favor gay marriage.

The United States and Russia relations have gotten a lot chillier in just the last month, with Vladimir Putin flexing his "Gog and Magog" muscles by invading and annexing Crimea. Can the annexation of all Ukraine be far behind now? The Cold War, which has been dead for 25 years, has been resurrected—and now Putin and Russia are now considered one of the biggest threats to global stability.

With the first quarter of the year nearly completed, what will April bring for the United States of America? Past history has shown that the month of April has not been very kind to our nation. Very ominous, major events have occurred in the USA since its inception within the month of April.

Here is a list of those events:

1. Start of American Revolutionary War - April 19, 1775.

2. Battle of San Jacinto/end of Texas Revolution - April 19-21, 1836.

3. Start of Mexican-American War - April 25, 1846.

4. Start of Civil War - April 12, 1861.

5. Abraham Lincoln assassinated - April 15, 1865.

6. Start of Spanish-American War - April 26, 1898.

7. 7.8 magnitude earthquake destroys 80% of San Francisco - April 18, 1906.

8. RMS Titanic sunk of the coast of Newfoundland (120 Americans drowned) - April 14, 1912.

9. Franklin D. Roosevelt announces U.S. will leave gold standard - April 19, 1933.

10. Bay of Pigs invasion failure - April 17-19, 1961.

11. Martin Luther King Jr. assassinated - April 4, 1968.

12. End of very unpopular Vietnam War - April 30, 1975.

13. ATF raid on Covenant of the Sword and the Arm of the Lord (CSA) - April 19-21, 1985 (linked to the Oklahoma City bombing a decade later).

14. Explosion on the USS Iowa (speculated to be an act of sabotage/suicide, but never proven) - April 19, 1989.

15. Waco/Branch Davidian raid by FBI/ATF - April 19, 1993.

16. Oklahoma City Bombing - April 19, 1995.

17. Columbine High School massacre - April 20, 1999.

18. Virginia Tech shooting massacre - April 16, 2007.

19. BP Oil disaster in the Gulf Coast - April 20, 2010.

20. The Boston Marathon bombings - April 15, 2013.

Now I know that some of you are probably wondering what this means and what does it have to do with Bible prophecy. To be honest with you, it could mean nothing. All of these events occurring in the month of April could be one big coincidence. And to tell the truth, none of them really have anything to do directly with Bible prophecy.

But the reason I am so concerned about April, 2014 is because of the United States Middle East Peace Agreement deadline, and what could happen because of our nation's constant pressure on the apple of God’s Eye—the Nation of Israel.

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said at the State Department on July 30, 2013:

Israeli and Palestinian negotiators will work toward a final status peace agreement over the next nine months.  We cannot pass along to another generation the responsibility of ending a conflict that is in our power to resolve in our time. They should not be expected to bear that burden and we should not leave it to them.
Exactly NINE MONTHS from the time that John Kerry made that statement is April 2014! Now do you understand why I am so concerned! John Kerry has been to the Middle East now a record twelve times to establish what he calls “peace and security” between Israel and the Palestinians!

“While they are saying, ‘Peace and Safety!’ then destruction will come upon them suddenly like labor pains upon a woman with child, and they will not escape” (1 Thessalonians 5:3).

I have recently seen articles and stories that Obama and Kerry are trying to extend the deadline for “Peace.” But, Israel and the Palestinians want nothing to do with that. We all know how the LORD GOD feels about anyone who tries to divide His land and His holy city, Jerusalem. But it has become more than obvious that the wicked ungodly leaders in our nation's capital will never learn.

“And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it” (Zechariah 12:3).

The month of April could very well come and go without anything happening next month. There is a very good chance nothing will happen or occur. But how long will our LORD tolerate the U.S. pressuring His nation Israel to give up their land, without catastrophic consequences? Please continue to pray for the peace of Jerusalem and Israel (and their salvation!)...and that our nation yields to the leading of the Holy Spirit and repents!

Genesis 12:1-3:

Now the Lord had said to Abram:
‘Get out of your country,
From your family
And from your father’s house,
To a land that I will show you.
I will make you a great nation;
I will bless you
And make your name great;
And you shall be a blessing.
I will bless those who bless you,
And I will curse him who curses you;
And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed
.’”

Rep. The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, which Issa chairs, has been looking into complaints about the program for months. Under the operation, ATF agents set up storefronts in multiple cities to try and entice criminals to sell their crime guns, unwittingly, to the government so they could be traced. But their tactics and missteps, including using mentally disabled people, drew criticism.

And if he thinks that sanctioning seven Russians, out of a population of what? 150 million? is a sanction, he’s living in a different world.”
