OBAMA PREPARED TO ACT ‘UNILATERALLY’ AGAIN USING ‘EXECUTIVE AUTHORITY’ ON GUNS

President Barack Obama is looking for new ways to act “administratively, unilaterally using his executive authority” to enact new gun control legislation, White House spokesman Josh Earnest said during a press conference Tuesday.
The official was responding to a journalist’s questions about the President’s reaction to news of a shooting that occurred at an Oregon high school. Two people were killed, including the shooter.
While the President is looking for ways to implement his gun control agenda unilaterally, Earnest stressed that the Administration would also like to see legislative action to increase gun control.
“The President’s goal is to look for opportunities to act administratively, unilaterally using his executive authority to try to make our communities safer,” Earnest said. “We’re always looking for those opportunities. But none of those opportunities when they present themselves is going to be an acceptable substitute for robust legislative action.”

Obama praises Australia's gun control, brings country into US gun debate
“Couple of decades ago, Australia had a mass shooting, similar to Columbine or Newtown. And Australia just said, well, that’s it, we’re not doing, we’re not seeing that again, and basically imposed very severe, tough gun laws, and they haven’t had a mass shooting since,” said the president in a pre-arranged session held to discuss his plans to help cut student debt.

Of course the Government has not had to stage a mass shooting to justify gun control any more, because they have already taken the guns from law abiding citizens.  Now home invasions have increased 78% since now criminals have no fear of the homeowner defending themselves with a gun, so now they can rob and molest all they want and be gone before the law enforcement arrives -- if it arrives...  Law enforcement cannot currently keep up with emergency calls due to the unconstrained rise of violent crime.

Obama: Soul-searching needed on high gun violence

President Barack Obama has said no other developed nation would tolerate the "off the charts" level of gun violence plaguing the United States. At the White House, Mr Obama said the US' firm resistance to "basic" new gun controls was his "biggest frustration". "The country has to do some soul-searching about this," Mr Obama said.

The only soul-searching we need to do is to understand why we tolerate the level of tyranny that we do...

If we had fewer gun restrictions and more freedom for open carry, bad guys would be less likely to commit crime.
