Those young participants of World Youth Day who have attended more than one have grown accustomed to certain aspects that have become standard features of the mass events. These include talks from bishops, fellowship with jubilant throngs of youth from around the world and a huge, outdoor Mass celebrated by the Pope.
Another aspect without which it seems no World Youth Day would be complete is the fury of anti-Christian protesters who seem enraged that young Catholics have rejected their message of sexual immorality and the Culture of Death. World Youth Day is a magnet for homosexual activists, agitators for women’s ordination, abortion advocates and the ubiquitous representatives of Planned Parenthood and their affiliated organizations handing out condoms and anti-Catholic literature.
